Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Trauma RN to join the Trauma Service, performing integral case management and evaluating trauma care for admitted patients.

The role requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and preferred BSN. You will support quality improvement initiatives and coordinate with the Trauma Program Manager, with a flexible, full-time shift.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• TNCC certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience with Trauma Accreditation Process (ACS, OHS) preferred.
• Experience with Quality Improvement Process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform an integral role in case management of Trauma Service inpatients and evaluate trauma care.
• Identify issues related to trauma care and respond to trauma codes.
• Coordinate quality improvement activities with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Accreditation processes.
• Assist Trauma Program Manager with trauma education and accreditation activities.

Responsibilities

The clinician is responsible for performing an integral role in case management of patients admitted to the Trauma Service, evaluates trauma care of trauma patients. identifies issues related to trauma care, responds to trauma codes while in house, coordinates quality improvement activities with the Trauma Pl coordinator and Trauma Program Manager, participates in trauma education and assists the Trauma Program Manager with the Trauma Accreditation process. This position requires evidence of clinical expertise in the practice of trauma nursing, expert knowledge of trauma systems, case management, quality improvement, knowledge of adult learning theories, computer database experience, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be self-directed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.


• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• Current TNCC certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.


• Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.


• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.


• Previous experience with Trauma Accreditation Process (ACS, OHS) preferred


• Previous experience with Quality Improvement Process preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $96,574.40 to $121,576.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
