Job summary

ACH is seeking a Youth Care Specialist to supervise youth in a residential setting, delivering trauma-informed care and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. You will support clients’ physical, emotional, academic, and social needs while modeling respectful, empathic guidance.

You will complete intakes, assist with daily living, provide behavioral support and crisis intervention, transport clients to appointments, and collaborate with families, caseworkers, and other agencies to support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience with youth in crisis and crisis intervention preferred.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
• Must maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Must have valid Texas driver's license and be willing to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Complete client intakes and assist with intake documents.
• Provide basic needs and a safe, clean living environment.
• Offer supervision and bed checks based on client needs.
• Deliver behavioral support and crisis intervention as needed.
• Follow daily schedules and plan life-skills activities.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Collaborate with families, caseworkers, and service providers.
• Maintain documentation for licensing and program requirements.
• Attend meetings and participate in shift change and training.
