Job summary

UCAN Chicago is seeking a part-time Youth Development Coach to deliver direct service to youth within the Youth Development program, managing a Mentoring 1:1 caseload for the South geography and supporting school-based group mentoring.

The role follows a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, requires documenting services in the UCAN database, and includes after-school and school-based programming coverage with hours during school and after-school blocks.

Qualifications

• BSW or BA/BS in Education, Youth Development, Non-Profit field.
• In place of a degree, a high school diploma/GED with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Carries Mentoring 1:1 caseload for the South geography and schedules sessions.
• Supports school-based group mentoring and coordinates with school staff.
• Provides coverage for after-school and school-based programming when needed.
• Documents daily service delivery and client outcomes in UCAN database.
• Maintains relationships with youth and families with trauma-informed practice.
