Job summary

UCAN Academy and High School is seeking a Social Worker to provide individual and group therapy, consult on IEPs, and facilitate trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate support for students across two campuses in Chicago.

The role focuses on planning, evaluating, and coordinating services, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• MSW required.
• PEL in School Social Work Certification (preferred).
• LSW/LCSW.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic tests and evaluation of students; interviews students and family members.
• Evaluates test results; plans IEP goals and therapeutic approaches.
• Develops clear IEP goals based on individual needs.
• Engages and develops rapport with a wide range of students.
• Structures therapy sessions aligned with IEP goals.
• Maintains accurate documentation and reports in a timely manner.
