Job summary

UCAN Chicago in West Pullman, Chicago, IL, seeks an Outreach Worker to support youth ages 12-24 through trauma-informed services and Positive Youth Development. You will engage youth via community outreach and referrals from schools, juvenile justice, and community organizations, guiding them toward school success, employment, and constructive activities.

Qualifications

BSW or BA/BS in a human service field stated as required.
High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years in child welfare or youth development/outreach.

Responsibilities

Mentor and support youth participants, engaging them weekly.
Coordinate activities and assist with goal setting and participation in services.
Document service delivery and client outcomes per program requirements.
Establish relationships with local service providers and attend community meetings.
Maintain professionalism, boundaries, and cultural sensitivity; act as mandated reporter.
