Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. in Plainville, CT is seeking a full-time Youth Services Associate to support girls in a structured, trauma-informed setting.

The role involves care, counseling, and educational activities aligned with our therapeutic program, with second shift hours and up to 25% travel. Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred in Human Service or two years of professional experience in human services.
• Familiar with gender-responsive, relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.
• Ability to work with challenging youth and families.
• Ability to attend first shift offsite training during first month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, custody, maintenance, education and recreational planning for youth.
• Counsel and advise girls in groups and individually to develop positive relationships.
• Maintain a safe program community and culture.
• Facilitate daily focus and skills development groups.
• Develop and promote gender-specific approaches.
• Maintain a gender-specific, relational culture within the program environment.
• Participate in weekly planning of program goals and objectives with assigned youth.
• Document and maintain a daily activities log and prepare reports on progress.
• Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the living environment.
• Support and monitor family visits and assist with family mediations.
• Maintain order and security within the program and respond to crises.
