Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is seeking a Full Time Residential Coach at Lisa’s House in Plainville, CT.

You will provide direct supervision, daily care, and support to adolescent girls within a DBT-informed treatment program, helping them develop emotional regulation and healthy relationships. This role emphasizes gender-specific, strength-based care, collaboration with clinicians, and documentation of daily progress, with scheduled evening shifts and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred in Human Service or related field, with at least six months of relevant experience, or two years of professional experience in human services.
• Must be familiar with gender-responsive, relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches.
• Must be able to work with challenging youth and families.
• Ability to attend first shift offsite training during first month of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties involving care, custody, maintenance, educational and recreational planning and facilitation for youth in alignment with program’s therapeutic model.
• Counsels and advises girls in groups and individually by modeling appropriate behavior and encouraging positive relationships.
• Contributes to a safe program community and culture.
• Facilitates daily focus and skills development groups.
• Develops and promotes gender-specific approaches.
• Maintains a gender-specific, relational, culturally competent, and strength-based culture within the program environment.
• Participates in weekly planning of program goals with assigned youth.
• Documents and maintains daily activities log using web-based and paper versions.
• Prepares timely reports regarding activities, incidents and progress.
• Oversees maintenance and cleanliness of the living environment.
• Responds to crisis/emergency situations and ensures youth safety.
• Performs all responsibilities in accordance with CSI policies.
