Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services is seeking a Youth Care Specialist to supervise clients and provide a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment. The role supports daily living, behavior management, and family reunification goals within a residential setting.

You will participate in planning, coordinate transportation, and document all interactions while ensuring safety and confidentiality across shifts in a 24/7 program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months direct care/positive guidance experience with youth or families.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and willingness to transport clients.
• Ability to complete behavioral management de-escalation course.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and a safe, therapeutic environment for clients.
• Assist with daily living needs and learning self-care skills.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities as needed.
• Plan activities that support life skills and family goals.
• Complete required documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with staff, caseworkers, and guardians to support service plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to licensing standards.
• Attend shift change meetings and participate in team planning.
