Job summary

Catholic Charities Of The Archdiocese in Houston is seeking a Youth Care Worker to provide trauma-informed care and support services within a respectful, safe environment. Responsibilities include ensuring clients’ rights, documentation, and adherence to licensure and agency policies.

You will supervise daily activities, transport clients as needed, and participate in required trainings and safety protocols to support youth in the Houston-Galveston area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in child welfare or social services.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid Texas driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent supervision and quality care to clients in accordance with program policies and client rights.
• Support clients with daily activities outlined in individualized service plans.
• Create and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
• Follow direction from shift leadership to implement safety and behavior management plans.
• Apply Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) to deescalate and stabilize youth when necessary.
