Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is seeking a Youth Care Worker to provide trauma-informed care in a family-friendly environment in the Houston area. The role supports clients with daily activities, transportation, and safety planning, guided by individualized service plans.

You will document client behavior, participate in meetings, and complete required trainings, including CPI de-escalation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in the child welfare/social services field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent supervision and quality care to clients in accordance with program policies and client rights.
• Support clients with daily activities outlined in individualized service plans.
• Create and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
• Follow direction from shift leadership to implement safety and behavior management plans.
• Apply Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) to de-escalate and stabilize youth when necessary.
