Job summary

ACH Child and Family Services is seeking a Youth Care Specialist (YCS) to oversee daily supervision and provide a therapeutic environment supporting clients’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs. The role emphasizes trauma-informed practices, safety, and collaboration with DFPS and families.

Responsibilities include client intakes, providing basic needs, crisis intervention, scheduling adherence, and transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months of direct care experience with youth, young adults, or families is preferred.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be willing to transport clients.

Responsibilities

• Complete client intakes and assist with intake documents.
• Provide basic needs and a safe, clean living environment.
• Supervise clients and provide behavioral support as needed.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Conduct house meetings and participate in shift-change meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow licensing and agency standards.
