Steadfast Employment seeks a compassionate Advocate to serve as the initial and ongoing point of contact for survivors seeking support services in Houma, Louisiana. You will help navigate resources, develop safety plans, and connect clients with community programs to support their healing.

The role emphasizes survivor-centered, trauma-informed care, with responsibilities including case coordination, documentation, and collaboration with partners, hospitals, and courts.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computers and database systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Ability to remain professional and compassionate in crisis situations.
• Experience in advocacy or social services preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Complete client enrollments, consent forms, assessments, and safety plans.
• Explain available services and connect survivors with resources and programs.
• Provide ongoing advocacy, emotional support, and coordinating services with partners.
• Deliver court-based and hospital-based advocacy for survivors.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, referrals, and client interactions.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and program activities.
• Assist survivors in identifying goals and accessing resources.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Complete 40 hours of domestic violence training and 40 hours of sexual assault training during the first year.
