Job summary

SafePlace Olympia is seeking a Residential Services Advocate to provide confidential, survivor-centered support for individuals experiencing domestic or sexual violence. The role includes crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals, and shelter intake, with collaboration across community partners to improve access to resources.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in social work, social services, criminal justice, or related field.
• Experience or demonstrated commitment to trauma-informed care and survivor-centered practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
• Staff the 24-hour crisis line and participate in phone advocacy coverage.
• Conduct intakes for emergency shelter and ongoing advocacy with residents.
• Assist with safety planning, housing navigation, and resource referrals.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation per policies and state/federal guidelines.
• Log service hours and ensure program coverage with team coordination.
