Job summary

Jewish Family Services of Delaware seeks a Refugee Services Case Manager to support Haitian refugee families in Kent and Sussex counties. You will provide direct case management, group support, and employment services with a trauma-informed approach to promote successful community integration.

The role requires a bachelor’s in social services or social work, experience with refugee populations, strong crisis-management skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services or social work from an accredited school.
• Experience working with various refugee and immigrant populations, Haitian Creole in particular; master's degree preferred.
• Case management capabilities, including the ability to effectively manage time and multiple client demands, with experience de-escalating and managing crisis situations.
• Must speak Haitian Creole.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Problem solver with strong analytical communication and language skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for assigned refugee clients in Kent and Sussex counties.
• Deliver workforce/outreach services, trauma-focused case management, and assistance running support groups.
• Document case notes and interventions in state database systems and JFS' electronic health record, including InSync and AssistWorker Web (AWW).
• Conduct outreach to local community partners and potential refugee referral sources.
• Transport clients to social services, DMV, medical screenings, and other appointments as needed.
• Link clients with employment and training services.
• Other duties as assigned.
