Job summary

GAAMHA’s Carl E. Dahl House is seeking a Recovery Specialist to guide residents in a Co-Occurring Enhanced Recovery Home and Therapeutic Farm Community. You will oversee daily programs, supervise medication administration, and lead group activities in a trauma-informed, gender-aware setting.

The role requires strong communication, cultural competency, and computer skills. A valid driver’s license and sobriety history may be essential for placement within residential services.

Qualifications

• Supports people in early recovery from SUD and co-occurring mental health disorders with compassion and professionalism.
• CADC/LADC certification(s) and/or experience in residential treatment preferred.
• Excellent oral, written and social skills; ability to demonstrate cultural competency.
• Must possess computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
• Individuals with lived recovery experience must have at least 1 year of continuous sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the daily schedules of The Carl E. Dahl House Recovery Program and its residents.
• Monitor residents' daily medication intake and manage refills or disposals; document in medication sheets.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups using established curricula and record attendance/participation.
• Perform resident headcounts and wellness checks across all floors and outbuildings.
• Prepare typed or legible reports and document relevant information in shift logs.
• Participate in staff meetings and monthly in-service trainings.
• Monitor safety of residents and the physical plant; transport residents as needed.
• Represent GAAMHA/Carl E. Dahl House in the community and uphold agency standards.
• Adhere to laws, regulations and policies regarding client confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
