Job summary

Evergreen Recovery Centers is seeking a Residential Specialist to join the Rainwood program. You will support residents, supervise daily activities, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery in a trauma-informed, safe environment.

You will conduct orientations, monitor wellbeing, coordinate transportation, and ensure accurate logkeeping. Evening/weekend shifts with differential pay are available, along with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to show compassion while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays with differential pay.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in accordance with agency policies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality per applicable laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for residents and complete shift reports to supervisor and staff.
• Conduct resident orientation within 12 hours of arrival.
• Record illnesses with type, actions, date/time, and fever if taken.
• Coordinate residents’ transportation to appointments and emergencies.
• Transport residents using company vehicles only.
• Ensure resident safety by rounds and log observations during shifts.
• Assign and oversee housekeeping duties and assist as needed.
• Monitor leave requests and report unsanctioned departures.
• Maintain logbooks of incidents and activities and medication self-administration.
• Address resident conflicts per procedures.
• Collaborate with program staff and complete shift logs promptly.
• Complete incident reports as required.
• Enforce house rules and follow policies.
• Assemble intake folders and file resident records promptly.
• Complete required training and attend staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
