Job summary

The Mental Health Association - Western MA is seeking a Residential Recovery Specialist to support residents in a structured, trauma-informed setting. You will assist with daily living tasks, help residents follow treatment plans, and promote recovery through group activities.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documentation of progress, and ensuring safety in shared spaces. MAP certification is required, CPR/First Aid certifications preferred, with a 35-hour work week schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with homelessness, trauma, mental health or addiction.
• Ability to follow structured treatment plans and document progress.
• Pass MAP, CPR and First Aid certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities support program policies and a structured routine.
• Provide trauma-informed, gender-responsive support and crisis intervention.
• Assist with daily living tasks and independent living skills.
• Lead or co-lead groups and recovery-focused activities.
• Transport residents as needed and maintain safe spaces.
• Document progress and promote a recovery-oriented environment.
