Job summary

San Diego Youth Services seeks a Program Assistant (Bilingual Preferred) to support the Community Assessment Team in San Diego. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Program Manager and handles intake, data entry, referrals, and crisis intervention in home, school, and community settings.

Ideal candidates are bilingual (Spanish/English) with a relevant Bachelor's degree and experience in office support or crisis services.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or closely related field required/preferred.
• Experience with office support and crisis hotline is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake screening, assessments, crisis intervention, and referrals.
• Screen possible intakes and assist with data collection and tracking per contract.
• Maintain confidential records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Organize timesheets, mileage, and office supply management.
• Facilitate trauma-informed groups on topics like substance abuse prevention and teen pregnancy prevention.
