Job summary

Acuity International is seeking a Caregiver in San Ysidro, CA to provide compassionate, trauma-informed daily care to families and unaccompanied children within government facilities. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and precise documentation of services.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year in relevant human services, bilingual English/Spanish, and the ability to obtain security clearances. A valid driver’s license and immunizations are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare, healthcare, social services, or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required, both written and spoken.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence required.
• Ability to pass government background investigation and obtain security clearances.
• Valid driver’s license and immunizations on file.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to family units and unaccompanied children (UACs) in government facilities.
• Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility.
• Monitor and document care, welfare checks, and incidents per contract procedures.
• Coordinate with government personnel, medical staff, interpreters, and transportation teams.
• Maintain safety, hygiene, and a clean living environment; respond to emergencies per protocols.
