Job summary

Circle the City seeks a Patient Support Specialist for its Midtown Medical Respite Center in Phoenix. This full-time role champions patient needs and fosters a safe, supportive environment to help reach recovery goals.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, harm-reduction support, and collaboration with the RN Program Manager to enhance the respite program. Group activities with the Behavioral Health Consultant focus on wellbeing and coping skills. Bilingual Spanish is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in the behavioral health field.
• BLS Certification is required.
• Fingerprint clearance card is required.
• Bi-lingual Spanish is highly desired.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid AZ driver's license for 3+ years.
• Completion of Peer Support training and Peer Support certification.
• Experience in a medical environment is desirable.
• Lived experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions and discharges and become familiar with the respite center.
• Support substance use recovery in a harm reduction and trauma-informed manner.
• Collaborate with the RN Program Manager to enhance the respite program.
• Plan and implement groups with the Behavioral Health Consultant focused on well-being and coping skills.
• Respond to urgent situations in a trauma-informed manner.
• Document in the electronic health record as required.
• Participate in supervision and mandatory trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and a collaborative environment.
• May be required to provide transportation as needed.
