Job summary

Circle-the-Cit is seeking a patient support specialist for a full-time, benefited role in our medical respite program in Phoenix, AZ. The position focuses on championing patient needs, creating a safe environment, and enabling progress toward short- and long-term goals.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, harm-reduction aligned care, and collaboration with nursing and behavioral health teams. Bilingual Spanish helpful; requires BLS, 21+ and valid AZ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral health
• Lived experience required
• BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions and discharges in the respite center
• Support substance use recovery using harm reduction and trauma-informed approach
• Collaborate with RN Program Manager to enhance the respite program
• Plan and implement groups with Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC)
• Respond to urgent situations in a trauma-informed manner
• Document in electronic health record as required
• Participate in group and individual supervision and mandatory trainings
• Provide excellent customer service and teamwork
• May provide transportation as needed
• Attend required meetings and complete training
