Job summary

Marsell Wellness Center seeks a Medical Coordinator to arrange and coordinate health services for children in care, including urgent and preventive care. You will maintain confidential medical records aligned with licensing regulations and agency policy.

The role requires communicating medical needs to case managers and staff, scheduling appointments, coordinating transportation, and ensuring interpretation services are available when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or public health programs.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass required background clearances.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or RN with a bachelor’s degree, or a relevant bachelor’s degree in health fields.
• Experience working with children, families, or vulnerable populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate health services for children in care, including urgent, emergent, and preventative care.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential medical records per policy and licensing.
• Communicate medical needs to case managers, clinicians, and staff; schedule appointments.
• Coordinate transportation to medical appointments and arrange interpretation services when needed.
• Serve as liaison to community healthcare providers, hospitals, and clinics.
• Monitor immunizations, medications, and follow-up care in line with requirements.
