Job summary

Rod’s House in Yakima, WA seeks a Hope Center On-Call Support Specialist to provide safe, supportive housing for young adults ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness. You will assist with daily operations, coordinate with case managers, and connect residents to community resources to meet basic needs.

The role requires flexible shifts, good communication, a trauma-informed approach, and a valid driver’s license. Prior work with youth and bilingual Spanish/English are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year working with youth (18-24) or 2 years in social services.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Engage with young adults to create a welcoming, safe environment.
• Collaborate with case managers to support youth needs and housing goals.
• Connect residents to community resources to meet basic needs.
• Respond to and coach youth through verbal and emotional situations.
• Maintain trauma-informed, non-judgemental approach; promote inclusion.
