Job summary

Rod’s House in Yakima, WA is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to create a safe and supportive environment for youth ages 13-17 experiencing homelessness. You will assist with daily activities, coordinate care with the team, and help youth progress toward stable housing.

The role requires evening or weekend shifts, adherence to confidentiality, data entry, and collaboration with program staff to ensure positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with youth to make them feel welcome, safe, and supported.
• Collaborate with Case Manager and other program staff on how best to support the youth.
• Respond to and coach youth through verbal, physical, and emotional altercations.
• Provide daily program support and maintain confidentiality of youth.
• Participate in monthly program outcome reporting and data entry tasks.
• Administering/observing medication times and documenting accurately.
