Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole is seeking a Milieu Director to supervise Team Leaders and counseling staff in a trauma-informed residential program for youth aged 13–19. You will oversee all aspects of therapeutic milieu programming and ensure a supportive, therapeutic environment.

You will lead policy development, staff training, crisis intervention as needed, and coordinate services across educational, medical, and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years or more supervisory experience in similar role.
• Computer literacy including MS Office; ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to Residential Supervisors and counseling staff; hire, train and evaluate staff; oversee disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Draft and revise program policies; monitor guideline implementation.
• Coordinate and provide staff training.
• Provide direct therapeutic care and crisis intervention as needed, including use of restraints; lead emergency management.
• Provide on-call coverage for the program on a rotating basis.
