Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a versatile Outlying office MOSS/Float staff member to provide clerical support across multiple sites in Missouri. You will handle phone messages, maintain scheduling, create EMRs, collect payments, and scan documents into patient charts, while supporting behavioral health related care with trauma-informed sensitivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of medical clerical or medical records experience preferred.
• Medical office clerk or medical records experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming phone calls, check messages, and distribute messages.
• Maintain clinical scheduling calendars.
• Create client electronic medical records and complete required financial paperwork.
• Collect payments for services rendered at time of appointments.
• Scan variations of releases, insurance cards, and IDs into EMR.
• Complete EMR documentation, auditing and closing tasks.
• Cover other service areas when vacancies exist.
