Job summary

NAICA is seeking a Social Worker in the New York City area to provide non-clinical case management, crisis intervention, and resource coordination for residents in a Transitional Housing Program. You will assess needs, plan housing readiness, and advocate for access to community services to promote housing stability and recovery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Social Work degree required from CSWE-accredited program.
  • Experience in case management, crisis de-escalation, or supportive services preferred.
  • Knowledge of housing systems, behavioral health resources, and social service networks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct non-clinical biopsychosocial intakes and housing readiness screenings.
  • Develop individualized service plans and housing goals with clients.
  • Provide crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and recovery-focused skills training.
  • Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, and community resources.
  • Advocate for residents to access benefits and housing support.
  • Maintain confidential case records and participate in team meetings.
