Job summary

Kootenai Health is seeking a trauma-informed registered nurse to provide compassionate, forensic medical care to patients as potential victims of crime. You will perform comprehensive exams, document findings, and collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure best outcomes.

Strong emphasis on confidentiality and evidence collection. Ideal candidates have RN licensure, 2+ years of RN experience, and SANE-related coursework or training within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in Idaho or eligible via multi-state compact before start date.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for an assigned patient population.
• Performs tests and administers medications within RN scope.
• Promotes patient independence by teaching about condition, medications, and self-care.
