Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a skilled RN to deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will perform timely medical/forensic examinations of sexual assault patients in collaboration with law enforcement or CPS, and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care outcomes.

Requirements include an active Texas RN license, CPR, and the SANE certification. BSN is preferred; TNCC/ATCN, ENPC, and CPI coursework are expected within one year of start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide timely medical/forensic examination of sexual assault/forensic patients under collaboration with law enforcement or CPS.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Consider patient age and cultural diversity in the provision of care.
• Contribute to quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient outcomes.
