Job summary

Texas Panhandle Centers in Amarillo, TX is seeking compassionate technicians to support individuals with mental health and substance use needs at the Diversion Center. This full-time role includes shift work across weekdays, weeknights, and weekends, with on-call coverage as needed.

You will engage clients using trauma-informed, person-centered care, build rapid rapport in crises, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to demonstrate composure in crisis situations.
• Willing to work with law enforcement and community stakeholders.
• Must have valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable.
• Age 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Engage with individuals in Diversion Center using trauma-informed, person-centered approach.
• Build rapid rapport with clients in crisis.
• Maintain ethical, respectful communications at all times.
• Assist with transport, meal prep, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Diversion Center staff.
