Job summary

Hope Healing in Akron, OH, is seeking a Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide crisis intervention and support services to survivors of domestic violence. You will assist in shelter operations, safety planning, and collaborate with agencies for survivor services.

The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. This position requires at least a high school diploma and experience in trauma care.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with survivors of trauma, mental health, or addiction preferred.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability required.
• Ability to pass background checks (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Federal Bureau of Investigation).

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors.
• Assist with shelter operations and facilitate workshops for survivors.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policy.
• Collaborate with agencies to secure services for survivors.
