Job summary

North Slope Borough is seeking a Client Advocate to oversee day-to-day direct care for clients. The role ensures safe, therapeutic care and culturally appropriate services across residential and outpatient settings.

The candidate will provide trauma-informed counseling, implement program schedules, and collaborate with supervisors and other professionals to support continued care. A strong emphasis on confidentiality and safety guidelines is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Department and Borough policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of local community resources.
• Skill in providing effective client care services.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writting with staff and clients.
• Demonstrated work experience using PC and common software applications.
• High School graduate or GED

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day direct care oversight of clients.
• Plans and oversees the program activities ensuring a safe, therapeutic quality of care.
• Provides trauma informed care and evidenced-based counseling services to clients.
• Maintains a calm, healing, and safe environment for clients.
• Enrolls in and follows the designed program schedule and structure.
• Transports clients to appointments as needed.
• Completes admission and discharge screening protocols and documents interactions.
