Job summary

The North Slope Borough seeks a Client Advocate to oversee day-to-day care and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment across NSB Arctic Women in Crisis Residential Shelter, Children & Youth Services Residential Program, or Integrated Behavioral Health Outpatient Program.

This role emphasizes trauma-informed care, confidentiality, and collaboration with supervisors while adhering to licensing and OSHA standards and supporting program needs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and Basic First Aid Certification within 30 days;
• Must be 21 years of age or older;
• Applicant must pass a criminal history background check;
• Ability to obtain Alaska driver’s license meeting insurance criteria;
• Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Provides trauma-informed care and counseling services to clients.
• Maintains program records and documents services.
• Ensures a safe, clean, and orderly program environment in accordance with regulations.
• Transports clients to appointments and participates in outreach activities.
