Job summary

Safe Harbor Shelter seeks a Full-Time Human Trafficking Client Service Advocate to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, counseling, and case management for survivors. The role operates within the emergency shelter, reporting to the Human Trafficking Program Manager, and requires sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field preferred.
• Experience working with survivors of trauma or trafficking strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and crisis intervention skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.
• Evening, overnight, weekend and holiday hours are required.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents in a confidential shelter.
• Ensure the safety and security of the program.
• Update client and agency records daily and provide regular reports.
• Represent Safe Harbor at designated meetings.
• Participate in monthly supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities and lead a structured environment.
• Respond appropriately during crises and uphold agency values.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; support staff and volunteers as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team while maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.
