Job summary

FosterAdoptConnect is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to work with children facing mental and behavioral health challenges. You will support daily living skills, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships through trauma-informed activities and role-modeling in client homes and communities.

Role involves following individualized plans, ongoing training, and working afternoons, evenings, and weekends with travel up to 30 miles to a client’s home.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with elevated behavioral needs preferred.
• Must be willing and able to perform safety holds on clients at immediate risk.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children on neurodevelopmental activities to improve emotional regulation.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with training, supervision and development.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests and goals.
• Support children in developing healthy relationships and managing emotions.
