Job summary

FosterAdopt Connect is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to support children with behavioral health challenges in Kansas. The role requires working afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends, with the possibility of commuting to client homes.

Compensation is hourly, $21.65–$24 per hour, plus benefits and training. Applicants should have a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), be at least 21, and maintain certifications in First Aid/CPR and CPI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be able to perform safety holds on at-risk clients after training.
• Must have a smartphone and laptop for work purposes.
• Willing to commute up to 30 miles to a client’s home.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work with children on neurodevelopmental activities to build emotional regulation and independence.
• Follow individualized behavioral plans with ongoing training and supervision.
• Create engaging activities based on each child’s interests and goals; typically 3–5 times per week in afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Help children build healthy relationships, improve communication, and succeed at home, school, and in the community.
• Support family routines and model supportive behavioral strategies.
