Job summary

Encompass is hiring a Behavioral Aide & Transportation Support Specialist to assist children and families under the DFCS program, providing behavioral management and safe transportation to appointments, school, and family visits.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of experience with children. An associate’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with children, especially with behavioral challenges.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transport children to and from medical appointments, therapy, school, and visits.
• Provide one-on-one behavioral support during transportation and appointments.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Communicate with caseworkers, caregivers, and staff about progress and incidents.
• Maintain detailed records of schedules, behavior, and incidents during travel.
