The George Washington University Hospital is a major academic medical center in downtown Washington, DC, offering a 62-bed Emergency Department and a Level I Trauma Center. You will join a team of emergency physicians, nurses, and support staff dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care.

As a Registered Nurse in our ED, you will manage critical cases with rapid assessment and treatment, collaborate across specialties, and contribute to teaching, research, and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• BSN or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• DC RN License or eligibility to practice in DC.
• At least 1 year of ED or critical care experience preferred.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• TNCC certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic emergency department.
• Perform assessments, develop and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement and research opportunities.
