Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Senior Trauma Clinical Data Coordinator to oversee data management for the Department of Trauma at HUMC. You will handle data entry, query management, and ensure protocol adherence while maintaining data integrity across trauma studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/HS with related experience acceptable per posting
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trauma investigators, RN, and regulatory specialists to ensure protocol adherence
• Assist with protocol development and feasibility study by data gathering and literature reviews
• Review/edit abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts for journal submissions
• Prepare and submit IRB applications, continuing reviews, amendments, and safety reports
• Submit and update protocols on clinicaltrials.gov as needed
• Maintain essential regulatory documents for FDA form 1572 and related licenses/certifications
• Screen and track trauma patients for eligible studies and obtain informed consent
• Coordinate with physicians, RNs, residents, and staff for sample acquisition
• Maintain inventory of research supplies and manage bio-specimens per guidelines
• Perform data abstraction from medical records and ensure data integrity
• Resolve data queries timely for research and quality improvement projects
• Assist with REDCap project design and data integrity for analyses
• Ensure electronic databases are accurate and up-to-date for all patients in trials
• Prepare and support sponsor monitoring visits with documentation readiness
• Provide regulatory training and supervise trainees involved in trauma research
• Generate EPIC/BI reports in collaboration with Business Intelligence
• Support trauma registry data entry and validation for ACS/TQIP databases
• Assist in Trauma Registry data uploads and NJ/ACS submissions
• Contribute to ACS-COT trauma re-verification preparations
• Participate in continued education and research meetings as required
• Other duties as assigned and uphold organizational standards
