Job summary

JMC Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, West Virginia is seeking a Trauma Nurse Coordinator responsible for coordinating trauma care management across the continuum of trauma care and developing clinical practice guidelines.

The role includes education programs for emergency healthcare professionals and the public, monitoring outcomes, supporting Trauma Services operations, and liaising with departments to improve patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state or eNLC.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• TNCC certification through ENA within 30 days.
• Three years of trauma clinical experience in ED or CCU.
• BSN and/or CEN/CCRN are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates trauma care management across the continuum of trauma care.
• Reviews cases to ensure compliance with Trauma Center designation criteria.
• Provides inter-facility staff development and standardizes practice guidelines.
• Develops and disseminates educational programs for emergency professionals and public injury prevention.
• Monitors clinical outcomes and PI activities; reports results to admin levels.
• Manages operational aspects of Trauma Services as appropriate.
• Supports Trauma Registry in data collection, coding, and processing.
