Join to apply for the TRANSPORTER/TECHNICIAN role at Blount Memorial Hospital

  • Responsible for the safe and timely transport of inpatients to and from the Radiology Department, as well as the return transport of patients to the Emergency Department when requested. Responsible for documenting all patient transports daily in the Transport Log. Schedule and track patients using the Horizon Enterprise Viewing (HEV) system. Ensure all transports are scanned with the Radiology Information System Barcode Scanner. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors. Maintain transport equipment in safe working order. Use safety and assistive devices, employing proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.
Job Specifications
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Healthcare experience beneficial. CPR certification required upon hire or within three months.
  • Knowledge: Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Abilities: Able to lift at least 100 lbs without assistance.
