Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an experienced manager to oversee all RDC yard activities and the personnel involved in those operations. You will maintain records, resolve system or operational issues, and ensure inbound/outbound performance.

You will supervise up to nine transportation staff, hire and develop personnel, coordinate coverage and service levels, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies across yard processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of logistics/transportation operations and available services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving system issues in daily load processing.
• Monitor carrier and system status messages and mitigate impacts.
• Communicate with Directors and Supervisors on shipping activities.
• Oversee yard operations and supervise transportation staff and TOAs.
• Coordinate coverage to ensure transportation functions are completed.
• Back up supervisory roles in absence.
