Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to direct inbound and outbound warehouse activities, ensuring safe and compliant operations. You will lead warehouse staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize receiving, replenishment, order selection, and loading processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 7+ years in related roles, and a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
• Manage labor hours and consumables within budget and schedules.
• Supervise selection, purchase, and utilization of company assets.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs.
• Develop relations with third-party vendors, including lumping services.
• Maintain insurance certificates and hold harmless agreements for vendors.
• Review shipping and loading audits and ensure proper documentation (HACCP, food safety, catch-weight).
• Prepare budgets, profit plans, and capital requests as required.
• Evaluate metrics and adjust activities to meet performance targets.
• Suggest efficiency ideas and cost-reduction measures; implement changes.
• Lead staff selection, development, discipline, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, AIB, FDA, USDA and other regulations.
