Job summary

North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) invites applications for an intern in the Transportation Department. The intern will assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing information related to transportation technology projects and help develop insights, reports, and presentations for regional planning in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Ideal candidates attend a Dallas–Fort Worth region college, can work at least 20 hours weekly, and will gain experience in data analysis, GIS, and

Qualifications

Must be attending an accredited college or university in a degree-seeking program during employment.
No work experience required.
At least one year of school-related experience.

Responsibilities

Working with supervisor to maintain and update records for active and planned transportation technology projects across the region
Assisting with the Call for Projects process and coordinating meetings; prepare agendas, presentations, and materials; track action items, and support coordination with internal staff and partner agencies
Working with supervisor to support the setup and coordination of transportation technology projects once identified
Assisting with research and review of transportation technology deployments in other parts of the country to identify best practices or initiatives relevant to the region
Drafting and preparing documents such as presentations, public outreach content, and other materials for supervisor review
