North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) seeks an Intern to support its government relations program in the Transportation Department. Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in a related degree program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work 20+ hours per week while attending school.

Responsibilities

• Monitor federal and state legislative activity related to transportation and air quality.
• Summarize legislation and rulemakings for supervisor review.
• Draft for supervisor review, including updates and educational materials for outreach with officials.
• Prepare correspondence supporting transportation grants and maintain contact info for officials.
