Job summary

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) invites motivated students to join its internship program in the Dallas-Fort Worth region focusing on transit-related projects. Ideal candidates are enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs and can work at least 25 hours per week while studying.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university while employed.
  • No work experience required.
  • Able to commit to at least 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, implement, and manage short-term transit projects with supervisor.
  • Assist with document-sharing system and websites to support transit providers outside the metroplex.
  • Maintain documentation and records; support file management.
  • Assist asset management: inventory reconciliation, site visits, provide technical assistance.
  • Review and implement best practices in transit workforce development.
  • Manage partnerships to support small transit providers: project management and oversight.
  • Streamline project invoices and documents to meet commitments.
  • Identify eligible funding sources to support transit project expenses.
