Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Team Leader I for Warehouse/Transportation to supervise hourly Partners and lead daily operational decisions. You will guide and motivate teams, manage performance, and ensure service standards align with customer expectations.

The role emphasizes leadership development, adherence to SOPs, and opportunities for career growth within a fast-paced omnichannel environment. You will travel as needed and support a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related experience.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Experience in presentations a plus.
• Successful completion of Leadership & Development classes as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and support for an assigned group of hourly Partners; foster a trustworthy, collaborative environment.
• Clearly explain roles, expectations and performance metrics for each critical component affecting outcomes.
• Monitor and address customer needs; track complaints; drive service recovery and identify trends.
• Monitor KPIs for team performance; compare to goals and provide actionable feedback.
• Adjust labor to balance staffing and overtime while meeting facility performance expectations.
• Support Partner development; offer growth opportunities and address underperformance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, pest-free facility in line with SOPs and OSHA guidelines.
• Recognize Partner achievements.

As a Team Leader I for H-E-B Warehouse or Transportation, you'll manage different areas of operation to develop expertise in people leadership and tactical operational leadership. You'll lead a team of hourly Partners.

What is the work?

Management / Operations:

• Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions (e.g., product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters)
• Provides daily supervision and support for an assigned group of hourly Partners; maintains an environment where Partners trust and respect the Leader and work together as a team to accomplish goals and objectives
• Engages with Partners daily; clearly explains roles, expectations and performance measurements for each critical component that impacts business outcomes
• Operates a team that consistently meets customer needs and expectations; tracks / monitors / resolves complaints; ensures service recovery efforts; identifies trends; provides feedback
• Monitors / evaluates key performance indicators for daily and weekly team performance; measures against goals; gets team buy-in; provides team feedback
• Monitors / adjusts labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs while meeting daily facility performance expectations
• Takes an active role in development of Partners; provides leaning and growth opportunities; addresses performance that does not meet expectations
• Maintains a clean, safe, pest-free, and well-organized facility; complies / ensures compliance with established SOPs; documents measures through SOPs in compliance with OSHA and H-E-B guidelines

What is your background?

• Bachelor's degree or
