Job summary

Performance Foodservice seeks a supervisor for the driver team to ensure safe, efficient deliveries and DOT compliance. You will assist with scheduling, payroll review, and driver training, and you will monitor logs and safety practices across the fleet.

This role requires 2–4 years in transportation or related experience, with knowledge of DOT regulations and experience with fleet management systems. Day shift starts at 2am, on-site in Houma, LA.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Experience with computerized fleet management systems.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers, including staffing, training, coaching and performance management.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure timely deliveries and pickups; ride with drivers for training.
• Support day-to-day transportation operations and driver payroll review.
• Monitor vehicle safety, ramps/handcarts, seat belts and proper product handling.
• Track driver information: licenses, tickets, accidents and safety data.
• Ensure accurate delivery and driver paperwork: invoices, DVIRs, logs, reports.
