Job summary

America West Transportation in California seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead the wheelchair transport program for PACE participants. You will direct on-site drivers, oversee routing, safety, and compliance, and ensure a dignified, responsive participant experience.

The role requires collaboration with scheduling, dispatch, and center teams to maintain data accuracy and service readiness while upholding HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct transportation, dispatch, and logistics.
• 1 year of experience working with the elderly.
• Experience in Senior Care or related human services.
• Strong leadership and staff development background.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ADA standards.
• Bilingual language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Driver workforce with accountability.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for staff.
• Partner with dispatch to ensure daily scheduling and route execution.
• Attend Center meetings, provide feedback on transportation needs.
• Create performance improvement plans and coaching logs.
• Conduct staff meetings, safety meetings, and reviews.
• Ensure efficient route planning and vehicle assignment.
• Validate schedules align with appointments and resources.
• Support real-time problem-solving for scheduling challenges.
• Maintain participant records with accurate trip information.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Support service recovery and address participant concerns.
• Collaborate with center-based professionals to align services.
• Ensure compliance with PACE, CMS, HIPAA, KPI policies.
• Oversee vehicle logs, safety training, and competency records.
• Maintain vehicle inspections and maintenance schedules.
• Participate in on-call rotation 24/7 as needed.
• Ensure wheels are aligned with safety and quality standards.
