Job summary

America West Transportation LLC in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead the wheelchair transport team and ensure safe, dignified service for PACE participants. You will oversee daily routing, supervise drivers, and partner with dispatch and center staff to maintain operational readiness.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in transportation or elder care, and familiarity with HIPAA, ADA, and CMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license or CDL required.
• CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
• Ability to learn dispatching and transportation software including OCS, MS Teams, payroll/HR systems, and internal platforms.
• Experience in Senior Care or related human services industry.
• One-year experience with the elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Driver workforce, fostering accountability, respect, and teamwork.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for transportation department staff.
• Partner with dispatch operations to ensure daily scheduling, dispatch functions, and route execution are running according to plan.
• Attend PACE Center IDT and Care Planning meetings each day and provide feedback on transportation needs.
• Create and implement performance improvement plans, write-ups, and coaching logs.
• Conduct departmental meetings, safety meetings, and quarterly staff reviews.
• Oversee participant records, ensuring address, notes, and trip information are updated accurately.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as required by Client Account Management and leadership.
